A flavorful and light black bean dip that's ideal for game day munching. This skinny dip, which is full of spices and fresh ingredients, is a healthier option without sacrificing flavor.
Ingredients:
- 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: 1/2 jalapeo, finely diced for extra heat
Instructions:
In a food processor, combine black beans, red onion, tomatoes, cilantro, garlic, lime juice, cumin, salt, and pepper
Pulse until the mixture reaches your desired consistency
While pulsing, gradually add olive oil until well combined
If desired, add diced jalapeo for extra heat and pulse a few more times
Taste and adjust seasonings as needed
Transfer the dip to a serving bowl
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld
