Mallo Cup Cupcakes



These delicious cupcakes will make you miss Mallo Cups in a sweet way. There is a Mallo Cup hidden in the middle of a rich chocolate cake base, making a gooey marshmallow and chocolate filled treat.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 12 Mallo Cups or similar marshmallow-filled chocolate cups

Instructions:

Warm up your oven to 350F 175C and put cupcake liners in a muffin tin

Put the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl

In a separate bowl, mix the eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla extract

Mix everything together well

Add the hot water and mix the batter well until it is smooth

It is going to be thin, but that's okay

About two thirds of the way to the top of each cupcake liner, fill it with batter

Take the Mallo Cups out of the packaging and press one into the middle of each cupcake

After the oven is hot, bake the cake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck into the cake part not the Mallo Cup comes out clean

Let the cupcakes cool for 10 minutes in the muffin tin, then move them to a wire rack to cool all the way down

After the cupcakes have cooled, you can frost them with your favorite frosting if you want to, or you can just eat them plain
